"Polk" is the second release from Portland, Oregon's Tracker. Open warehouse, noir-esque, and ambient, "Polk" combines desolate song and instrumental expanse with warm, full studio recordings. "Polk" is the project of recording-man John Askew and Michael Schorr (ex-Death Cab for Cutie) and it sounds like patient, arid, epic wanderings in a super-8 movie. Similar to Camper Van Beethoven, Giant Sand, and Califone. Comes in mighty, drill-proof Digipak.
